Make a Difference Day

The On the fourth Saturday of October, millions of volunteers around the world unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others. Make A Difference Day is a day to celebrate the power of people to make a difference.  We advertise several opportunities and students are allowed to volunteer for as many as their schedule will allow.  This is one day to Make A Difference.

Project 129

University comes together to donate Thanksgiving Baskets to families in need in our local community.  We identify families in need through our local school system.  As a tribute to our fine Institution we give one basket for every year Florida A&M University has been in existence.

Operation Cheer

Project cheer is a volunteer Christmas gift-giving program that focuses solely on children placed in foster care, group homes, and residential facilities through non-profit agencies. These are some of the most vulnerable children in our local community and through this project, we work to send a message that there is hope and that there are people who care.

MLK Jr. Day of Service

We pre-register student organizations, campus departments and local agencies service projects that are scheduled to take place on the MLK Jr. Day of Service, on the third Monday in January. Registration for this day of service will begin the second Monday in November through the second Monday in January.  Students sign up to volunteer for one of the registered volunteer opportunity to complete a day on, not a day off, the MLK Day of Service.
