The pinning ceremony marks a student's initial journey to Florida A&M University.  It serves as a rites of passage as high school seniors, transfer students, and new military affiliated students transition to FAMU.  The pinning ceremony is designed toward enhancing morale among FAMU students, improving academic performance, encouraging Rattler pride and encouraging students to graduate in four years or less.
